Example Simple Present Tense

Forming simple present sentences in English may seem complicated and difficult at first. Here, the example of positive, negative, question, and WH question sentence in the present tense.

Positive  Sentences in the Present Simple Tense

1. They go to the beach on the weekend.
2. They enjoy the sunset.
3. We like to make a big sandcastle.
4. I read one book every month.
5. You tell a fairy tale before sleeping.

Negative Sentences in the Present Simple Tense

1. They don’t go to the beach on Monday.
2. They do not enjoy a big wave.
3. We don’t like to swim at the beach.
4. I do not read a novel this month.
5. You don’t tell a bad experience before sleeping.

Question  Sentences in the Present Simple Tense

1. Do they go to the beach on the weekend?
2. Do they enjoy a big wave?

WH Question  Sentences in the Present Simple Tense

1. How often do I come here?
2. Where does she live?
