A. Basic Form of Simple Past
Subject (S) + Was / Were + Object
Verb Past: Was / were
B. Subject and Verb
- Was is for Singular Subject
Was: He, She, it, Dani, Suci, Cat
- Were is for Plural Subject
Were: we, you, they, Rindu dan Kasih, cats
C. Object
We use was and were when the object: Adjective, Noun, Adverb (ANA). It talks about the subject
Example:
- Adjective: Rudi was Ugly.
Rudi: Subject
Was: Verb for Singular Subject
Ugly: Object (Adjective)
- Noun: They were our products.
They: Subject
Were: Verb for Plural Verb
Our products: Object (Noun)
Adverb: Kronos was in Ungaran
Kronos: Subject

- She was sick at the weekend.
