Hi everyone! I'm Ines from YSEALI Academic Fellows on Environmental Institute 2015 in East West Center, Hawaii. I'm currently running a project called Chili Padi Academy. Please allow me to inform you all a bit about this project! I'm also hoping for a future discussion if some of you are interested to collaborate with me wink emoticon

Fully funded by the Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative (YSEALI) by the US Department of State, the Chili Padi Academy is looking for 5 aspiring and passionate youth leaders between the ages of 16 and 19 in 2016 from Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia for our inaugural environmental leadership and education accelerator programme.
The Chili Padi Academy offers a platform to ignite in youth leaders the passion and capability to pilot new solutions that address environmental issues in their home communities.
The programme includes three phases: (1) A week-long Accelerator Programme from 23 February to 28 February 2016, where participants will convene in Singapore to visit NGOs, startups and tech companies as well as understand regional environmental issues; (2) Home-Run, the opportunity for participants to implement innovative solutions that advance environmental protection in their communities from 1 March to 26 May 2016. With guidance from mentors and US State Department Alumni, participants will get to test their solutions on the ground, evaluate and then respond to the effectiveness of their solutions. Finally, (3) Together-Gather Indonesia, when all participants will reconvene in Indonesia from 27 May to 30 May 2016 for an evaluation of their achievements.
